Pennsylvania

Beautiful, hilly, amazing, gorgeous, the best state! It is home of Hershey park, the first oil well (in the US), founder of steal mills, has a large lake to the north, and a bounty of nature preserves and state parks. The hills are amazing and the trees are large and magnificent. My father lives there and for my spring break i went north when everyone else went south.
Me, my boyfriend (Matt), and my friend Casey all went to visit with my dad for our spring break. Our first day (Satuday) we stayed in Franklin, PA with my brother Nick and his girlfriend Kasey. He delivers pizza so on our second day (Sunday) we went to his work and got free pizza with any toppings that we wanted! It was the best pizza i have ever had!!! After lunch with them we headed to my dads in Titusville, PA. That night my step moms best friend Gloria made us homemade fried chicken, mac n cheese, and green bean cassarole! It was also very good! On the third day (Tuesday) we went out to my dads best friends, Uncle Mark. I gave Matt and Casey a tour of his property and then we soaked up the warmth of his hot tube and just relaxed! Later that night we met up with my brother Nick and Kasey to celebrate his birthday. We all went out to Quaker Stake and Lube (a wing place) and they had an amazing all you can eat buffett! On the fourth day we just relaxed at my dads. On the fourth day (Wednesday) we all went to my step moms school (she's a teacher) and brought and had lunch with her. After that Matt, Casey, and I went back out to my Uncle Marks because my dad had to teach a church education class. We had a lot of fun! We rode the four wheeler and had some fun with target practice. But while Matt and I were out on the four wheeler Casey tried to shoot the shotgun (even though Matt and I told her not to) well she ended up needing 7 stitches because she wasn't holding the gun right and the scope hit her in the forehead. That was an exciting experience! On the fifth day (Thursday) we (Matt, Casey, and I) went to The oil museum where the first oil well was drilled. Later after the museum my dad and i made a HUGE turkey dinner! It was a lot of fun being able to make dinner with my dad! Also a lot of my family came over so we had a great time with everyone! On the sixth day (Friday) my dad took Matt, Casey, and I to Pittsburgh to visit with my brother Chris, his girlfriend Laura, and my step grandparents. We stopped at my brothers first and sat around, chatted, and played Wii. After that we went to my grandparents and had lunch with them and took a tour of there new apartment. We had to be back in Titusville by 5 for a fish fry though so we didn't get to spend as much time as i would have liked with them. So when we got back we changed and went to the fish fry. After that we went to a concert that was a cover band of the rolling stones. It was really cool and we had a lot of fun!! This was our last night in town so after the concert we had to go out to my uncle marks to get our suits so we went in the hot tube one last time! The next morning (our last) i got up with my dad and we got to cook together one last time! We made home made biscuits and gravey. We also had eggs, hashbrowns, and fruit salad! After breakfast we headed out and stopped by my brothers work in Franklin to say goodbye then we were on our way back home!
That was my amazing spring break and even though it wasn't somewhere 70 and sunny we still had an amazing time!

Accidents

Really another one....this makes 3 in about a year!!! (Car wrecks that is.) So i wasn't in the car but from the police report and what my boyfriend (Matt) can remember ANOTHER person pulled out in front of him and there was nothing he could do. Not only is this the 3 time this has happened this is the 2 car that it has totaled!
The first one was my favorite (car that is) and i wasn't in the car that time either. But what happened is that someone tried to turn left in front of him on Dillman...at THE LAST second! and well goodbye lancer (manual of course!)... she was sooo beautiful too it just was not fair!!!
The second time it was the prelude, manual, sleek, FAST, amazingly sexy prelude! And someone didn't yield to our right of way on 10th and well we t-boned her. She didn't get totaled but i was in the car and it sucked! My neck and back hurt for like 2 days! Well it tore the bumper up pretty well (it actually totally came off with no hope of putting it back on) and the map sensor started going out so we called it a lost cause, saved the insurance money, and sold it.
The third and hopefully last was the s10 of which just happened this last weekend. Once again i was not in the truck but it was bad.
So we had spent the night at a friends house and we had forgotten our toothbrushes so Matt ran home to go get them. Well about a half hour after he left i get a call on my cell phone from a number i didn't know so i answered, it was Matt and his voice sounded all shaky and he said he had been in an accident, the airbags went off, and that i needed to come to Cloverleaf. So he has the car and our friend is on the phone, so i interrupt the friend and tell him, "we need to go, Matt's been in an accident" and he just kind of brushes me off. So i interrupt again, "Matt was almost crying on the phone, the airbags went off, WE NEED TO GO! I'll drive so you can stay on the phone give me the keys." Well needless to say i was speeding and as we were leaving the apartment (about 1 to 2 miles from Cloverleaf) i here sirens, lots of them, so I'm freaking out to be quite honest. We get there and they have Matt on a stretcher and i knew he was ok cause he could remember my number but all reason left my head and i started balling! One of the paramedics sees me and says that Matt's alright and asks who i am. I tell him I'm the gf and he lets me ride in the ambulance. We get to the er and the Dr checks him out takes some x-rays and clears him to leave. And well the truck is totally totaled!!!! Like i can't believe Matt's ok! But he is and once again we are on the hunt for a new (well new to us) car.

Monroe County Sheriffs Department

This last weekend one of my close friends car got broken into. They broke his glove box, tore up his dash, and stole; the faceplate off of his head unit, a compressor, and his radar detector. So i called the police. This was the 4th time this year that this had happened and the second time we've called the police. Because of these facts the boys thought it was a waist of time and only talked to the sheriff to humor me. Just like the time before he said that there wasn't much he could do and then he explained why and I was blown away!
There are only 3 night time sheriffs for this entire county (that's over three hundred and ninety square miles). He then told us that they would try to patrol that area once a night. He also suggested that we put together a petition for camera installation and a security patrol around the hours of the break-ins.
Well we thanked him for all of his help and he was on his merry way. Since it was hard to see in the dark anyway we all decided to go back into the apartment and asses the damage in the morning. We ended up staying up for awhile longer and at around 3am i got a call from a blocked name and number. I answered it and it was the sheriffs office letting us know that they thought they caught the guys, they just needed us to verify his belongings.
So we met them at a gas station, not even a block from the apartment, where they had pulled the car over. Once there we learned that a patrol car had seen a guy get out of the car and then immediately get back in it once he saw the police car. Since that seemed a little off and since our report the officer ran there plates. Luckily they needed new tags, and thee officer had a reason to pull them over. It all went down hill for them from there.
They pulled so much stuff from that car! I mean everything from a samurai sword to a full keyboard and so many radar detectors and ipods. Once they got them in a room they also found out that they had dumped even more stuff in a Dumpster. Needless to say i can not wait to see them at their trial!!!
